Designed to stand apart, the Stonehaven Deck was envisioned as an elegant outdoor space that feels both refined and distinctly its own, elevating the standard of outdoor living within the neighborhood.

The project began with a strong structural foundation, utilizing helical footings paired with treated 2×10 framing, creating a reliable framework built for long-term performance. From there, the focus shifted to the details that define the space.

Custom-built columns were expanded and wrapped in a flat panel finish, introducing a clean architectural presence. Above, a two-tier fascia system was paired with custom arched detailing between posts, adding depth, rhythm, and a sense of craftsmanship that carries throughout the design. A thoughtfully selected two-tone color palette ties the entire structure back to the home, creating a cohesive and elevated aesthetic.

Underfoot, the decking layout becomes a true focal point. A combination of Trex Tiki Torch and Lava Rock was installed at alternating 45-degree angles, forming a dynamic pattern anchored by a custom pinwheel inlay at the center, bringing movement and visual interest to the space.

The railing selection, Westbury Riviera “R” style, provides a refined boundary, balancing openness with a polished, architectural finish.

As the sun sets, integrated lighting transforms the experience. Orion post cap lights by Aurora Lighting and side-mounted Aspen fixtures by Highpoint introduce a warm, ambient glow, extending the usability of the space while enhancing its atmosphere.

The result is a thoughtfully layered outdoor environment, where structure, detail, and design come together to create a space that feels elevated, intentional, and entirely unique.
