Details | Zeus Deck
This family contacted PHI Decks several years prior to actually starting construction of their new low maintenance deck. They had an idea what they wanted, but the design needed to be flushed out a bit. After several different iterations and two years of life getting in the way, we arrived at the design and began construction. The deck would feature an outdoor kitchen with built in grill, pull out cooler drawer and a recycling/trash pull out. It would also have a sunken lounge complete with fire table with bar top seating above.
Once construction started we realized that the designed location of the stairs just didn’t make sense. We moved them from the back side of the deck to the lounge area and widened them to just over 6′. In this location they serviced the backyard much more appropriately and created a nice traffic pattern from the kitchen door to the backyard. Because they would be doing a lot of entertaining on their new deck we added a large door from the garage onto the deck to make the beer fridge in the garage easily accessible. All in all the project turned out great and was well worth the wait and planning.
