We first met this family at the Minneapolis Home and Garden show where we discussed what type of deck they wanted to add and what kind of custom features we could incorporate to help their deck not only match their new home, but also compliment it.  Due to the poor soil conditions in Medina, we highly recommended that we use helical footings in lieu of traditional concrete footings.  Combining these with Azek decking, Westbury railings and custom built newel posts assure that they will get many, many years of enjoyment from their new deck.
